X45 question
« on: December 07, 2001, 05:08:00 AM »
Hey all  :),

I have a question concerning the X45.  I just bought a new one and it seems to be a good stick for the money.  I do have a problem though.  I seems that when I am surfing the web my Internet Explorer locks up, usually when I click on links.  It appears rather random.  I don't use the SGE software, programming it instead with AH stickmapper.  I read that getting a spyware removal utility can help this problem but it didnt solve mine.  Apparently from what I have read the SGE program or Saitek drivers cause some kind of problem with I.E.  Anyone have any ideas on this?

is your internet connection (modem or NIC)conflicting with your USB controller? was your prevoius joystick stuff usb or analog?

I get lockups, usually in AH, when my USB controller shares the IRQ with my network card (internet connect via cable modem)

Make sure you have IE 5.5 or higher , when using SGE . If as I read that your not using SGE don't know why you are having the lockups .

Lockups are only from the "popup" windows that some web sites use , with 5.0 or lower .
