Sorry about that guys. I ate one to many bean burritos the other day and got to close to an open flame. It was one hell of a ride I'm just glad I got down safe.

It is a V-2 Rocket.  Germans must have been hiding in the sea all this time and decided to used it.

Just how obvious?  I saw a glint and reflection for a split second through a pretty significant mirage making it not possible to determine exactly what it is I'm seeing.

I can say whatever it is doesn't look like a missile.

You can clearly see in the opening clip there is more than a split second of glare.  Would the FAA not be able to determine if an aircraft was on that flight path?

I've lived in Orange County and have seen plenty of missile launches from the same area over the years.  I did not see this in person but the video shows the same things I witnessed before.

I'm a little unsure, but as far as what some say is a glint of flame, could probably be caused by the suns reflection.  If you notice, the glint is only visible at a certain point and if you look at the clouds, the angle looks the same.  If it was a flame on an actual missle, wouldn't it be visible the entire time?
I'm still not sure if it was a missle or a plane, I'll let the investigators figure that one out.

Most likely it was a test of one of our missiles.  they're seen often in southern california.  but since the pentagon is saying no, then most likely it is some secret test the government is doing.  It's not the first time these missiles have been seen off the coast and its also not the first time the goverment has said it wasnt ours.  sorry guys try to bash the prez some other way.

as for the media having no clue, well lets just say people pay more attention when the media says they have no clue.  had they said it looks like one the dozens of missiles that have been tested over the years, nobody would've paid any attention.

I remember back in 84 or 85 (first time I saw a missile) there was a missile seen over the ocean in the same place as this one.  thousands of people saw it.  they called the radio stations, tv, police, whatever, nobody knew what it was.  it took the government 3 days to say, yeah it was ours, it was a test. so sorry.

And missile trails can look like contrails from certain angles...

That is one hell of a contrail then...temps must have been awfully low up there and the winds very steady to keep it like that. But I am just guessing based off the few missile and shuttle launches I have seen. Never seen a sub launched missile though so I wouldn't know what they would be like.

There used to be a time when we knew where all the Soviet Boomers were at any given moment... Wonder if we are still doing that? Or if we are doing that for China?
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!
