Good to see the HE 111 wasn't important in WW2, wasn't versatile, can't be used in FSO and generally isn't a 'Gap Filler'

Did you read the post? I tell you what, go down to your local high school and ask each kid they to list what a HE 111 is and what it was used for, then do the same for the B29. I'm pretty sure that less than 10% will know what a HE 111 is, but the B29 will be much more well known. As for history about WWII these days, most schools cover Pearl harbor, and the 2 Nukes dropped on Japan. Hitler crops up now and then too.  

I don't care how, why, or what the issues, plans, or diffuculties were with the B29 in real life. As we know Real life doesn't matter in a GAME. The Lanc and the B24 are in the top 12 planes used OVER-ALL in the game and it isn't because of the history. It's because of bomb load, and speed.

When the B29 is put in, unless the thing is perked like a 262 you will see it used at 8-10 k, dive bombing will be as normal as level bombing. Bomb and bail (unless perked) will be normal. Killing one may be as easy as killing a B24....if you can catch it.

I hope the Perk the hell out of it.

Minority?  the polls show other wise!  the bomber guys lost out the last update or two with the strats being moved out of reach and the town and field redesign,  and as far as I can tell,, there are less players,, maybe I am wrong but I know I fly bombers a lot less, and play alot less since the changes that have effected the style of play, away from bombers! I am looking forward to upping the big beast and trying my luck,, the last time I was this happy about a new addition was the "M",, and it has been my ride of choice since it was introduced!
 the minority didn't want the B-29 as far as I can tell,, so I don't think they pleased them at all!

I do want the Yak-3 tho,, and would be happy to see it long before the new bomber! The panther as well,, or the M-18!!
I don't understand why anyone would not want the challenge of shooting down that big beast anyway?Is it going to be too tough for ya?  looks like a heck of a challenge to me,, both to fly and to kill!

I believe he was pointing out that those against the B-29 are in the minority, they're just loud.

B29 is coming to AH? Excellent..will resubscribe and start bombing fighter hangers for perk points.

Now there's an idea!  Destroying things from a B-29 subtracts from your perk point total!

SunBat, what makes you think that you or anyone else, should have a better vote in anything over anyone who haven't been on AH as long?  I am just glad that HiTech doesn't think like that and hopefully, never will.

I voted for the He-111 and it lost. bah  So when it came down to the wire, I opted for the B-29 over the 410 simply because I much prefer to fly bombers over fighters.  Had the 410 won, then "yay!".  Had the A-26 won, then "boo!" AND "yay!".  Had the 111 won, then "wrarglral!".  And had the Ki-45 won, then, *flashback to Aces of the Pacific*....*drools*.

Prediction: B-29: Eny 5, Formations: Enabled, Perk Cost: 100-200 per plane.

I'm sure we will have every variant of every late war US plane before we even have enough Japanese models to run a decent scenario with out a bunch of substitutions.

It was only a matter of time before the B29 would win and see addition to the game. That's a no brainer. People just need to quit crying about a plane and just be glad that there is this game called "Aces High" that they can play whenever they want. Just my .02 cents.

I am, however, excited to learn more about the other planes/vehicles that are in production.
