I was having problems with every other driver I tried, including 12.41's. The 22.50's fixed the probs and gave me a bit of a boost in FR.

These detonators are the very first ones to give me good boost without any errors. From 45fps (original drivers) up to 82fps! One minor problem is; all text & distances seems to be too blurred, not unreadable, but not too clear either.

Please, please, don't try these drivers unless you have a GeForce 2 or GeForce 3 AND already have problems.

If it ain't broke don't fix it. Going backwards can be difficult with drivers, so you are better to keep the ones you have if they work properly.

Regardless of the profile being used, several experimental options can be configured from the "Beta" menu. I recommend enabling the following beta settings for optimum performance and image clarity:

NV15Alines: Enables hardware accelerated line anti-aliasing for increased performance in professional applications
VideoTextureEnable: Increases clarity and sharpness of text within DirectX D3D software."

Also, let me add that I agree with Lephturn. These new driver do increase FR but there are other anomolies that will decrease overall perfomance with AH. My opinion is that the 12.90 drivers are still the best.

does win2K need det destroyer? or is that only and issue of removing old drivers from win98 and ME etc?

It is a good idea. I find RegCleaner does a better job though.

Thanks Furious, but I already have that checked. All previous detonators gave different errors and some of them was totally unplayable. I agree with Leph, newest are not necessary the best ones, but these give me great fps. Btw Gunthr, what video card you have? I have GF2 MX.

Mason22 I removed manually all OEMx.inf from WINNT\INF folder. Without this, win2k won't let you change them. Just cut and paste them somewhere else in case you need them later.

Vector, I've got a GeForce2 GTS under Win 2k. I used Det Destroyer in between. I'm now noticing a few minor color anomolies after a while of AH, but the 22.50's are still better than the others for me, so far.

I have a Geforce2 MX. I tried these 22.50 Dets but I had to go back to 21.81. The 22.50 didn't give me a FR increase offline, but it totally hosed me online. I've never seen anything like it. I would connect and if I stayed in the tower and did nothing, it was ok. But as soon as I tried to type something or go to the hangar or move to another field, it disconnected me from the Net. I could even hear the modem speaker 'click'. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling AH, re-installed my sound drivers, but only getting rid of 22.50 Dets worked.

I dont know what to do. I have a Geforce2 GTS and 6.31 drivers with DX7a and it all works perfectly. I keep getting told I need newer drivers but as Lephturn says, I don't want hassle. I'm even scared to go to DX8 until I really have to.

although I am using the 21.85's, try the 22.50's with and without mippmapping and disabled paletised textures. It solved my issues.
