Hey you law studying people/land sharks.

I've been sort of perplexed about what the lure of studying law is - beside from the status/income thing.
Not saying it is boring - am just wondering what the in job "perks" are - is it wrangling around legal text, searching for precedent and thinking and executing a master plan?
It sure as hell can't be learning about law and what this or that paragraph says, so am i corrct in my assumption that that's simply the tools needed to plan, execute and win cases, and that *that* is where the kick is?
