that is the problem with you people, you think because it didnt fly in 1945 it wasnt that great, it was a decent bomber in its time,  as was the B-29, you need to realise that just because it has huge range and a massive bombload, it doesnt make it any better an option the the Pe-2 or He-111

What I don't understand is the A-26 was in both polls.  It did very well and still isn't in the game.  Why even put it on the polls....I think they like to tease me!

the he-111 would be flown just for the fun of it in the MAs just like the stukas are and spit1s and hurri1s. alot of people use these planes for fun including me and some of my squaddies

It saw very little use in WWII, the US planeset is bloated and as such, it is a low priority.

its not that no one wants it, its the fact that there were just so many better options (Pe-2) on there that got (Pe-2) over looked by the (Pe-2) 13 y/ olds in the MA
who thought that (Pe-2) that we needed another late war (Pe-2) monster plane

The fact remains that it's been in two polls, and wound up near the finals each time.
Afk for a year or so.  The name of a gun turret in game.  Falanx, huh?
Apparently I'm in the 20th FG 'Loco Busters', or so the legend goes.

Just like US 4 engine bombers....US 2 engine bombers....we have enough; more than enough to fill out ANY scenario or any thing else we need US planes for.

The player base doesn't always know what is best or what they really want.

If every addition had been by vote. AH's list would look something like:

US:
Every American aircraft imaginable.

Germany:
Bf109
Fw190
Me262

UK:
Spitfire
Meteor Mk III

Japan:
A6M

Russia:
-

Italy:
-

At which point the player base would demand we start getting post war American stuff rather than add "hangar queens" that fought in the war.
