C-17 Globemaster III Jet Engine Mechanic stationed at Charleston AFB, South Carolina. My previous aircraft experience were F-15, F-16, B-1, B-2, B-52, and T-38.

I fabricate mettle gates, then install them with operators. Mostly for commercial clients, some residential stuff.

Till Dec 1st I am a two part job description....Customer Service Specialist/Regional Sales Manager. I was told that even though our division is the only one in a world wide company that is profitable and even though I have been directly responsible for over $1.4 million USD in sales in the last 18 months that we were still going to have to cut salaries...I don't even make commissions on my sales though and have told them I didn't want a bonus for the last 3 years due to trying to help keep the doors open when we had our shop here in Alabama which got closed and moved to Wisconsin in May 09 anyway.

For the last 10 years with this company I have held positions from

Inventory Control
Shipping Manager
Quality Control
Inside Sales
Outside Sales
Sales Manager
Product Development and Training Coordinator

To this current one which wraps almost all of those from the Inside/Outside Sales/Sales Manager and Product Development-Training Coordinator into one title.


Can you tell I'm a little bitter about loosing my job?

That would all depend on what I'm doing....

I am a titled "production supervisor" but do as much fabrication as I do supervision and training. There are days when I'm just  :x  :x  :x

back when i was young(ie just out of highschool), i washed dishes. moved from that to busing tables, then to helping the cooks(owners of the restaurant i worked at) get ready for lunch, to cooking, to running the kitchen for them.

 then i had a brain fart, and got into fixing cars. i figured that it would help me with racing.

 now, i own my own automotive repair shop.

in all honesty, if you're looking for a job and not finding, then you're not looking hard enough, or you've set standards too high. there's plenty of jobs out there for young people like you. they don't pay a lot(they never have really) but they're still there.

UP until sept. 09 I was a shipping manager for a printing firm then was fired for having surgery. Now im going back to school to learn a sit down job. In the past
