Don't get me wrong Nate, you are fine stick and eager to learn... but really your biggest problem is that you don't know when it is appropriate to talk and when it isn't.You flew with my squad for awhile, but we ended up asking you to go elsewhere because we all had to squelch you all of the time. And for some reason, it was as if you would re log every ten minutes so we'd all have to squelch you yet again. If we all have you on ignore, what's the point of having you in our squad? Something tells me we weren't the only group of guys to go through that with you.But still, don't let all of us run you away from the game. Giving play-by-play reports is another. Throw in the 'squeaker' aspect and it really does get to be grating, but it's to be expected. Our biggest problem with you is that you have a habit of telling us what to do. You're at that "I know everything" age and you have to take my word for it.. you don't. And even if you ARE right, the LAST thing you want to do is criticize people that are three or four times your age that have been there, done that, and usually know better. There are ways to get your point across without disrespecting the adults around you.I know the last thing I like is to have a teenager tell me what I am doing is wrong (or even try to offer a better way)... whether this is true or not. Until you are old enough to understand what the words "tact" and "respect" mean, the BEST thing you can do is to keep your opinions to yourself, keep your mouth shut, and just go with the flow and have fun with it. After a while you will start to earn the respect of the community, and THEN you'll earn the right to start expressing your opinions.
I've flown around 800nate and would sometimes just quietly squelch him. He even joined a couple of mishuns and wasn't all "chatty cathy" during them. At the end of the day, he is a kid.
Keep on going. You'll just make yourself look worse. You pick on a kid that's trying to learn the game that most of us use as an escape or relief. You do nothing positive for the community, and you pick on kids. Do not get caught up in the country-centric thinking.
Fact is, he's not 30. He hasn't been accepted by this community. We're all at fault when it comes to that. I've ignored him at times, but even when I was on range it didn't ruin my day... This game is in constant evolution. If we can't take the younger players under our wings then it will fade away when all of us "old" sticks go away. If most of us (certain people excluded) were in a situation that required us to deal with a younger person, we would NOT treat them the way they're treated here. It's disgraceful to see adults attack a kid in this way.
Not all "squeakers" are disliked. I think most ppl genuinely liked ZooZoo. I wonder what the difference is?
Jager, have you ever been thankful that anyadult was leaving, who displayed similar behavior to what has been attested in this thread?
Just get a voice mod so instead of being an annoying squeeker, you are just annoying.
