Not sure if this was the right forum to post this but here goes:
If you run an LCD clicking at 60hz...does the processor and ram have to work less then if you ran a CRT with a much higher Hz? such as 90Hz for instance?
The thought is that if one monitor requires less clock cycles to keep painted correctly, it would seem to follow that your processor, ram and vid graphics don't have to work as hard because it is simply going to cap out at 60 fps...
