What's the point in having an anti-personnel frag cluster bomb without having any personnel to bomb? ;)

Although not a well formatted wish request, the Fritz X is a legitimate request.  +1 to the Fritz X.

Is there any evidence they were  ever used in combat?

Why not the Salamander?

They were used a lot.
In 2nd half 41, about 289,000 SD_2 were dropped each month.

The Fritz X sank many merchant & war ships, including the battleship Roma.

Should be effective on soft skinned vehicles like M3s and open top ones like the WeebleWobble and the Ostwind and fun to use for vulching.

Why not the Salamander?

butterfly bombs saw extensive use by the Germans in all areas of operations they fought in.
