... missions were to be met by the commitment of alerted swarms of fighters, composed of Me 109's and Fw 190's, that were strategically based to protect industrial installations. The inferior capabilities of these fighters against the Mosquitoes made this a hopeless and uneconomical effort. 1.JD KTB

oneway,

Any plans to doing the same for the airfields, ports, towns and vehicle bases?
I know our squad would certainly benefit from your period style maps.

Please consider making them up as well to complete the set.   :salute

Yes...I have actually done some work on the field maps ... by simply modifying the existing maps...

I think I should re-do them as well so the entire map pack is set...

Good suggestion

Seeing as I finished up the strats sooner than anticipated I think I will work up the rest of the set now...

Delta...how does this look?

(If you look closely you can see the 109's and Ju-88's I added in the terrain editor...lol)

And I imagine that most guys want them blank for their squads so they can mark them up themselves?

I will make them both way so folks can decide on their own...

Ummm...AMAZING!
And I love that you have done it in two versions.
You clearly know what people want oneway.

Mega thumbs up for this effort!  :aok :aok  :salute

Medium Field...

By the way the next pair will be the port..because it so hideous right now with its green patch grass...almost if not as bad as the HQ default clip map...

Little nugget here...

The following file has every 'old style' standard strat in clip map format rotated on the 8 major cardinal compass points...that is to say if your going to attack a strat (Fuel for instance)  from the SW...this pack has a clip map of the fuel facility rotated into a SW to NE orientation...as an example...

If your a leader of bombers attacking strats, and your so inclined to provide your people with accurate mapping and intelligence...and your flying in a terrain/arena that is still leveraging the old style of strats...you will find this more than useful...

Down the road the map pack I am working on now with the new style strats depicted in the 'new/old' vintage style will have these rotated attack maps...for now here is the old pack...which is very valuable seeing as we are still dealing in the special events with the old style strats..

One chooses these rotated maps and attack profiles to eliminate the cross wind component as is commonly found in Special Events...the Norden bomb sight is self compensating for head and tail wind components...by tracking either upwind or downwind...one can eliminate an unnecessary variable or factor...and ensure the teams success in accomplishing their mission...

Big salute to the ground pounder's...no offense to the fighter jocks...
