Besides those points, we have natural defenses, 3 mountain ranges, crazy rednecks, and if they try to take the midwest, TORNADOES. I'm pretty sure nowhere else in the world gets as many tornadoes than the united states. I honestly would love to see the reaction of some foreign soldier seeing a twister, not knowing what it is

No, SK shells landed in NK non-disputed waters. NK shells landed on civilians in disputed island territory (not saying thats ok by the way).

It's only disputed by NK though...  that's like me saying I own your house.  As I have declared that I own your house, I have the right to the property in it, including destroying it with an artillery barage if I feel like.  Now, irregardless of the money you've paid and the legaly recognized (by over 90% of the legitimate financial institutions in the world) paperwork recognizing you as the owner of your house, you're saying that I have a legitimate claim here just because I said so, and because of that I have the right to do what I want to your house and possesions as I please, ignoring your rights and the laws recognized by you and over 90% of the world?

It's a real mixed bag of domestic and foreign pressures.  Unpopularity in the public, budget cuts from the senate, pressure from our coalition partners/NATO/UN, strong desires of the Afghanis/Iraqis for more authority/control/influence of their own afairs, troop fatigue, etc..  Throw in the undoubted pressures for the missions to also succeed as we pull-out and you get the job of producing answers that don't make anyone content.
