I tried a thread a long time ago about Japanese tanks. It didn't go over very well at all. Japan had a few big tanks but other than those, it was mostly poorly armored with a small gun. And that was just about all the excuses I heard.

Yeah, I can see an IJN tank with less than 1/2 the armor of our Pzkw-IV being used ALOT in the arenas :uhoh
You really don't need an "excuse" to predict this as a waste of resources.  Oh what the heck, the hangars could
use another queen.  :D

M-18 :noid

Dam BAR, less then 6 minutes. You must have a program that alerts you whenever someone wishes for a tank other than the M-18.  :D

P.S. M-18  :aok

I wouldnt mind a japanese tank, if we can get other light tanks to complimen it, update the late war tank perks so the better the tank the more perks, some good aditions would be panzer 3's, BT-7's M3 Stuarts, this game lacks EW tanks in general, bring on the Kv-1's and 2's ! :rock

was it because they used wet lasagne sheets as armour.
[/quoteNo... That was the high end Japanese tanks, he's talking about the really high end tanks made of aluminium foil and toilet paper for extra cushioning. :D

How about adding a few japaneese tanks into the game? We dont have any other tanks than american, british and german. Maybe if the Type 97 "Chi Ha" was included we'd have more sherman killers out there.  :D
The type 97 "chi Ha" had a 7.6mm hull gun, a 7.6mm pintle and some variants were fitted out with 45mm's and 75mm's 76mm's as main turrets.
The armor on the Type 97 was relatively weak 33mm turret front, 26mm turret sides and rear, 19mm turret top, 20mm hull front, 9mm hull sides, 20mm hull rear, 8mm hull bottom.

The Type 97 was not a Sherman killer, just need to see how it faired against the Shermans when both fought at Okinawa.

This is especially interesting as I have never seen a "heavy" or upgunned Sherman variant in the Pacific.  They all
appeared to be the short 75mm type.  I think the 76mm Sherman would booty stomp the Type 97.

i meant in the game, say we have the choice to load it up with a 45, 75 or a 76mm turret. the thing im trying to get at is that we can have something other than M4's and panzers out there on the battlefield
