i meant in the game, say we have the choice to load it up with a 45, 75 or a 76mm turret. the thing im trying to get at is that we can have something other than M4's and panzers out there on the battlefield

No you wouldn't have those choices.  You'd only have the choice of the 45mm main gun as that was the primary gun that was used on the Type 97.  The only time the Type 97 carried a gun larger than 57mm was for testing or during design stages of a new model (i.e. Type 4 Chi-To ) which were based on the Type 97 variant.

Is there room for light tanks in AH... like in AvA and special events?
It would be interesting to have japanese vs chinese tank battles (russian-export T-26 vs japanese chi ha or chingchangchongwhatevervarian t) :rock

Stick with German Tanks (yes, I'd +1 the Panther) and give us the better Japanese Planes would seem like a much better plan.  I'd +1 the Raiden long before I'd look for any of the crackerbox Japanese tanks.
