now as you can see auburns opponates only 5 teams has .500 or worse records and had 5 teams that where 8 wins or more and 4 which are still ranked.

and people are gonna say based on that that oregon is gonna beat auburn???

oregon beat nobodys and auburn beat somebodys and somehow peoples opinions make them 1 and 2???

if these teams where as good as they say they are they would be pushing for a playoff, michigan state if they felt they where snub even though they won their division. a playoff would have taking the answer to the field! same goes for the big 12 this year 3 teams in the south division tied could all have equal chances against nebreska. but a fear by meany would be real a SEC domination would most likely occur. but then there would be no argument when a pac-10 plays a big-10 in title game and then a SEC team vs whoever in another bowl and is undefeated. didnt that happen to auburn a while back in 2004?

You can put all the Numbers up you want, Oakranger seems to be right, With everyone "Analyzing" or trying to do all year long with who's who and who's the best, i was watching ESPN the other day and Coach Lou ( you got to love this guy Mr tell it like it is) got into a rant about how the Sportscasters are over analyzing teams and how they compare conferences

Basically he said there's no way to compare Acc to the Sec to the Pac10,or Big10 and so on, every conference has a different style of play, Offences and Defences are setup Differently on opponent's that you PLAY on a regular basis ( conference play) the only time they get to play is in a Bowl game or a Non-Conference game then he goes on about so how can you really compare conferences when they don't play year after year, and i agree with what Coach Holtz was saying, in the real world it would be nice to see all the conferences realigned/balanced out

I'm just looking forward to the rest of the college football season, what happens , happens if Auburn and Oregon play then may the best team win, either way i dont see a blow out from either side, it's gonna be a great game to watch

Numbers mean nothing just like ranking and scoring on AH, dose not mean if you are a good stick or not.  Every player, every team preforms different day in/ day out.  never consistent.

because auburn doesn't deserve it....... Boise St. has been undefeated for TWO seasons.

That has to be the stupidest comment I have ever read on these boards....other than something posted by Voss.

Just because a team with a cupcake schedule went undefeated for two regular seasons they should be in the BCS Championship with a loss to another great high school team from a weak sister of the poor high school conference??? :headscratch:  :rofl

IF Oregon and Auburn are undefeated at the end of their seasons...Auburn after SEC Championship and Oregon after playing whoever in the Weak 10/12/however many teams they have...THEN they should play for the title. HOWEVER...just to make sure this is politically correct...should either one of them or both of them loose then TCU should play the next team which would be Stanford IF they beat Cal.

BUT now...what is this stupidity about TCU joining the Big East??? Just how far east should the Big East or what is known in coaches circles as the Big Least extend? Naturally they will be good to go with that conference until they start playing down to the level of the competition in that conference...

The only solution is a playoff.  I would really like to see TCU vs Ohio State in their BCS game.  War of the university presidents.

There was a possibility that it would have been tOSU vs BSU.  Dose not look like it will happen so TCU may be the team

I love the way the season is ending.  Next thing you know you'll hear big schools AD's calling for playoffs if something like this repeats over the next couple of years.

Also it makes recruiting for teams like Boise, Oregon, and TCU, a little easier.  If they don't screw it up.

Finally I've been a distantly interested Oregon fan since I first visited Medford in 1996 and TCU has been my all time favorite team I'd REALLY like to see them play for the theoretical national championship.

I remember back long before the BCS that there was none of this whining from schools that didn't get into a major bowl or didn't win a national championship because they went undefeated. You still had BYU and occasionally another team like TCU step up and win something but NEVER did you have the high school conference teams that whined the way they do now.

I do agree that they should have a play off system...heck all the other levels have a playoff and it works great for them.

When they started the BCS TCU was doing good to win the band contest at homecoming.  But it's interesting to see the evolution of the 'have not' schools when the playing field is a bit more level.

I started the season thinking 'ya the frogs will have a good year thanks to not having to play Texas and / or OU'  little did I know how far the mighty would fall.

Oregon will probably hang with Auburn and TCU just MIGHT.

Only the next few weeks will tell eh?  But at least it's been interesting.

they joined the weakest of the big-six its no surprise to me, not really stupid if they can make it in one of the big-six conference. this gets them a automatic bid with the BCS. no more having to be a atlarge bid,  but compared to SEC or BIG-10 even the BIG-12 the Big East isn't all that good, TCU was 98th in SOS their road to being undefeated was alot easier. i see there SOS going up a little more in the Big East. They need to show me against real competition they are good. beating nobodies and claiming your good doesn't do it for me.
