italia. hint hint
« on: November 27, 2010, 06:55:32 AM »
I know I know we dont need any more 4 engiend Buffs but what we do need is more italian aircraft among others aswell.

Piaggio P.108 Now it did see somewhat of alot of action in WW2 and i would really like to see this Buff in AH. great aircraft, and had similar performance to the B-17, and about the same bomb load aswell. what do you guys think?

That's the one with the remote gun turrets in the outer engine nacelles isn't it? I'd love to fly that thing.

It can be done.

The Italian S.M 79-1 Sparviero three engine bomber also carried a torpedo and flew at about 265mph.

The point is, we have the ta-152 which by any estimate you look at, the 108 outnumbers it. Whether is be a 152c model or not, it is still a Ta-152.

yeah. so i take it people like this idea alot? i was watching a program called "Wings of the Luftwaffe" they were talking about the He-111 and a russian 4 engined bomber (not the Tu2 or Pe-8) was described and the P-108 was also talked about.

The Russian 4 engined bomber you speak of would be a Tupolev TB-3 then if its not a Pe-8, they only had two heavy bombers that they used in the GPW, the TB-3, and the TB-7
as for the P.108, I would like to see other more important planes for italy before one that had such a little impact

ah TB-3. another bomber that the russians didnt used alot. idk why they bothered building heavy bombers if they never used then. anyways the P-108 would be a nice introduction to the list of BUFFs we already have.

WHAT ABOUT THE RE-2005 FIGHTER OR THE G-55 FIAT FIGHTER?????? HMMM HMMM???/....or the SM-82  bomber/transport.....the SM-79 sparrowhawk????  if you read the list of aircraft and the descriptions and options, you will notice AH is a little to "PRO" allies...come on...ju-87 without 37mm guns?,me-262 without 2 bombs or drop tanks??,NO panther!,but theres t-34 and shermans.and how about the fact that FW 190's do not have a 2 drop tank option or the twin 20mm under wing pods,or the single 30mm underwing pods,or the 8 bomb option..all of which the axis used for years in quantity. there were also better versions of the ju-88...and how about S-boat(german E boat)way better than the PT....i could go on...but what is the point....remember its a game, that they own, that they want to inflate the AH ego and mentality of allied superiority.never mind in real life it was really a question of overwhelming numbers...what we would call in the game..a horde....which it seems ironically nobody like to be on the receiving end of in the game, lol  good luck and i support your effort

I'm not sure where to start with this post, except could you please state your source for the 30mm underwing pods on the 190 ever making it to operational use.  Sure there's pix floating around but those are pix of testbeds and not operational A/C.
So in closing I'll support you if you can provide evidence that these things saw operational use,BTW the twin 20mm mount was used and yes the Ju88 came in many varients but I'd like to see proof of the rest.
