Unless I'm positive who is flying infront of me and I like them I won't HO, but I will everytime (if I think I can win it)  :airplane:

I'm not familiar enough with the dynamics in the WW2 arenas, so it may be that what is ok in WW1 is not ok in WW2. As someone who has taken to flying the Camel almost exclusively I can say with some certainty that 1v1 against a half decent Dr1 driver, the only shooting opportunity you are likely to get is the HO. And even a miss will at least cause the Dr1 to swerve, lose a little E and alter his merge slightly. I hate doing it, most times I don't. But if someone keeps coming after me and knocking me down (especially from an alt advantage, which is common to Dr1's) then yes, I'll resort to basic survival instincts.

Considering that in 3 out of 5 merges the other guy shoots at me HO I think I'm entitled  :)

Come on this has got to be another just makes me feel good thread.  Been there, done it, and have the tee shirt.  It has been going on since flight sims have come into existence.  All the complaining and moaning is not going to change a thing.  Why not talk about something important.  The smart HOERS!

Most any aerial combat , where both pilots are aware of the other before they come into range , will begin with both aircraft pointing at each other . It's why they mount the guns facing forward . If ya don't wanna get HO'ed turn and fight someboody who ain't lookin' .
