THAT, I could send ya  :)

I've got drill bits smaller than .5 mm  :)

Drill bit? Isn't that a thing you have to put into a powered tool i do not own? To be operated by someone actually capable of drilling a straight hole?  :lol

I mentioned the need for a new set of pedals to my wife  :D ... didn't work out as intended

Have you not heard the phrase 'it's easier to get forgiven than get permission'?  You just go buy them and explain later.   :devil

I would have to buy the tools to drill a hole into that very tiny screw too  ;)

You don't have to drill a hole to use an easy out.

The tool has an end like a drill with 2 flutes designed to cut into the top of the screw/bolt in the opposite direction. To use it simply chuck it in drill and set drill for reverse. Press bit onto screw/bolt steadily and run slow.

Certainly there is a neighbor that could do it?   :D

Or..   ask the Frau for the money for a drill.  Convince her of "all the things" you could fix around the house  :)

Try a dab of superglue on the head of a pin and see if that will work. Bend the pin in an L shape for leverage. Be careful not to touch the glue to the area other than the broken screw.

No you wouldn't. You can rent one. After all, if you can rent a woman, you can rent anything. ;)

Or have a neighbor who has a drill help you if you're that worried.
Easy in-game again.

If you have the other end of the screw still available, try using it by pressing against it hard against the broken end. Another thing that you may be able to do is use JB Weld to put the screws back together, just be careful to use a very small amount so it does not push into and connect to the bushing.  :salute

Have you tried contacting the manufacturer? They may be able to repair them at little cost to you. Since you are both in Germany shipping shouldn't be
all that bad.

What is the base made out of? If it's aluminum and you are mechanically challenged I would recommend that you leave it alone. An M3 bolt is fairly small and would probably be rather difficult for a neophyte to remove without damaging the base. A good machine shop should be able too repair it at a reasonable cost. I would recommend checking into this first you just might find this is cheaper than shipping it to dhs. Another piece of advice is that if you do give it to a local shop take it apart before you give it to them. Only give them the piece that needs repair, you don't want too chance the electronics or some other part is damaged.
