I already run at full range detail...

As the OPost states it occurs at certain traverse angles...not all of them

I seen that as well.

I messed with my settings in ATI CCC and so far not seeing it any more...at least for now...

This still lets me run at 60hz refresh and frames...**the Mipmap setting (3) carved into my frame rates and dropped them to 50 so I backed that off...the Mipmap thing seems to effect how distant textures are blended...

Here are my settings:

AA - Narrow Tent 4x (the edge detect thing had a huge frame hit...went with narrow tent)
AF - 8x
Catalyst AI - disabled
Mipmap - (setting 2) Performance**
Wait for vertical refresh - Off, unless application specifies
AAMode - Adaptive Multi Sample AA
OpenGL Triple Buff - disabled

In game settings are basically all maxed out with the exception that textures are 1024 and I leave building shadows disabled

So far so good...and I am not seeing the cloud tearing or or jagged edges either...

I think this can happen from any aircraft depending on the altitude and viewing angle.

Edit: its nice to see guys participate in a thread and point out a glitch that is tantamount to an unfair advantage...<Salute> the community...big thumbs up

Nvidia GTX 480 (single) but I get the same thing with GTX 580 and GTX 480s tri-SLI and 8800 GTs (SLI).

I have also seen the sawtooth cloud edges like you posted about and I always thought they were due to the way clouds are portrayed in AH (images) and their occlusion with terrain surfaces. That is obviously not the case with the disappearing cloud cover.

You'll really want to "wait for vertical refresh" -- this game really should be run with VSYNC set to "on"...

P.S. I get that all the time. I didn't in the old AH1. Some change with regards to rendering code and the horizon.
