G940 Right Rudder
« on: November 28, 2010, 03:14:10 AM »
My new G940 only seems to want to turn left. Is there a trick to calibrating it in AH2? Works fine in the Windows calibration and also my other games.

have you tried another port and make sure you have not got rudder trim set, rudder and rudder trim are different :old:

No I am using yaw (rudder) as the assignment but I also misunderstood the many G940 threads and kept calibrating through the windows control panel. I have found that if I keep doing the full range of motion in AH2 options then it will "take" after a while and all is fine now thanks. This a great piece of gear and I am looking forward to learning how to use it properly. :)

What v Windows are you running VFCBaxter?   I had rudder trouble (spiking while holding steady input) and my right toe brake seemed to be digital input rather than analog.   It only went off-on, while the left had the full range of input.   I run Win 7 64-bit.   I went through 3 940s, all had same problem - did the firmware upgrades, calibrations in AH, Windows, and Logitech's control software, trieed multiple USB ports, a powered USB hub - nothing fixed it.  But the rudders seemed to work OK on my Vista laptop.    I finally sent it back for a refund, which I am waiting for.

I agree its cool piece of gear and wish it had worked out for me and hope it works out for you.   Keep us posted.

I have a dual quad core Q6600 machine with 4gb ram and a 1gb GTS250 vid card. I am running windows XP on it. Previously I was using a TM T Flight Hotas X controller and that worked fine. This one ..... I have no idea what functions to map to the many buttons although I have labelled and mapped the illuminated ones. Sorry that you have had so much trouble with yours.

No worries.  I wish I had been able to track down the problem and get it to work; I'd still be using it.   Really liked the dual throttles and the force feedback - after years of using the TM Cougar, I need a stiff response against stick inputs.

I had the same problem when i first got the system. i fixed it by doing separate cal in AH offline. see if that works. BTW gotta love that stick.

It'll be even better when they get the reversal bug corrected.

Should have an updated firmware by christmas:
