Just because they have the same engine doesn't mean they will perform the same.  Believe the P-51B is a tad faster than the P-38J on the deck whereas the P-38J is faster than the Spitfire Mk IX on the deck.

ack-ack
Edited because i just realized how stupid i sounded and how high horse i was...

The purpose of this thread was not to whine, but to make a humorous observation about the activities of the evening.

While under usual conditions you would find fights quicker by going low number (which i usually highly recommend) it is not always the case.

I almost always jump to the low number side.  But I look where the fights are and how the forces are spread out before deciding.  If I log in and see bases flashing, I'll jump right in and start defending, then take a breath and see how the map looks.

With all due respect Dot, before you came in last night we had a few good fights vs the bish in the south and defending against the knits in the north.

Totally understand the way players come and go.  It's all a matter of the timing of getting into an arena.  I just thought it funny that three or four of you guys got blown up and then came back with nine or ten.   :D

Well, I'm off to the AvA to fly my Hurri-1 in the BoB setup that just started today.   :salute

I was in there the other day. There were 7 Satans playmates on one coutry and 1 player on each of the other two.

They were flying 4 sets of lancs and a few heavy f6fs and steamrolling undefended bases lol!!

Not saying that wasnt the case when you were on... but every time I have been in MW lately, the sides have been pretty darn even, and the fights have been "good and plenty"... and that includes our squad being on in numbers.

Do knights roll bases in MW?  Sure they do.  I am not on during the weekday hours, but I know it goes on.  But the bish AND the rooks do it at other times as well.  It just amuses me that every time someone says something about MW, someone else points the finger at VF-15.  But hey... we know we are hated, and we are cool with that.  All I am saying is that when MOST of VF-15 is on, the sides and fights are pretty darn even.

The last week or so have been good examples...  Big furballs over bases, epic sea battles, massive tank fights...  some of the best fights I have seen in MW in the last year have been in the last week.

Oh and I get killed a plenty too.  I dont boast at the times I do well, cause I know my turn is coming... probably several times.  Shuffler, Dotcommi, Ump40, Black70, xtiger, Sparky, Gaf, Oldman22... and more, are all respected foes that I fly against, and die at the hands of, time... and time again.  I cheer when I shoot one of them down, and I curse when they kill me... while I am rolling down the runway in a new plane to go at it again.

To me... MW is home.  I may go off and fly in LW when the rest of VF-15 is flying there, but we always come back to MW.  That is really what it comes down to for me anyway... I fly when, and where my squad flies.  And I do my best not to trash other players, or other squads just because I may not like their style of play.

I do not define VF-15 as basetakers, maprollers, furballers, or any other term we use here.  I define them in one way... a team.  Whatever we do, wherever we fly, whatever the mission... we do it as a team.  It is what drew me to them in the first place, and it is why I stay.  That... and some of those guys are just damn funny.

So say what you want about VF-15.  I know that this will probably get tossed back in my face by someone who hates us... but I really dont care, nor do I plan on responding to it.  Anyone who flies with me, or against me, knows that I have a pretty fast squelch button finger, and I would rather spend my time flying... than arguing about anything.

i don't think anyone REALLY hates the sqaud dood. you guys get a lot of "press" because you're good at what you do....and that's taking bases. that's fine.
there are however, a couple members(at least the last time i visited mw) that tend to be somewhat of an embarrassment to the squad.

ENY would prevent what you describe...................  So how many on the other countries?

No, they rather just talk chit.... like the guy above.....
It's too bad people are so quick to name names and jump to conclusions.  I deliberately left out any names (squads or people) with the express intent to share a story.  I thought it funny that the guy in the P51 could only kill me after running me outta gas and vulching me.  I thought it funny that three guys got killed and brought 10 more back with them.  That's all.

I've grown past hating people or squads.  It's just a game.

I think the OP made the same mistake that I make when I try out small-populated arenas: You assume when there's like 10-15 guys there, DOGFIGHTS would therefore occur. Often seems just a scaled down version of typical MA game play

What I was implying was, if there's only a few guys there, 4 guys oughtn't be jumping you like a buncha frat boys on a drunk chick. At LEAST wait for the first 1 on 1 to end...THEN, on the off chance I prevail, next guy fill me with lead.
