Does anyone have any World War II French Aircraft film or books...

Was just sitting in History class and thought about how Aces High didn't have any French Aircraft....

There are a few solid Early war French aircraft.  In particular the Dewotaine (sp?) D.520 would be a good addition.

What do we need French aircraft for ? We already have Peeefittyones doing enough running away from the fight .

Not a single French unit broke and ran in WWII.  Not one.  That is not something that the United States can claim about its military.

The French soldiers and airmen fought very bravely, but lost due to their leaders, political and military.

Contrary to the idiotic meme you are propagating, cowardice is not the only way to lose a war.

QFT plus they did develop the Hispano cannon which we all love or hate so much depending on which side of the nasty end of the barrell your plane is at the time of firing.

Not the same, but lack of Free French skins is a bit of a downer especially on Spit IX and XVI.

It was also the rear guard actions of the French army that allowed the British army to escape from Dunkirk.  Those rear guard French units never broke and fought until they were over ran or destroyed and bought enough time for the British to get the majority of their beaten army out of France.

However, reading a diary of a Spitfire pilot, he didn't have very nice things to say about the French pilots.

Hey Sunbat -how's things?

I don't hate America (I assume you mean the USA), nothing could be further from the truth - this game has put me in touch with some of the coolest, funniest and most polite people I've ever "virtually" met - that's the people. The country - how can you hate a country? Relative to the game we all play the sacrifice made ensured the freedoms we enjoy.

I think the point was that paying out on the French isn't that cool. I made the point about the cannon (French design) and expressed a desire for more Free French skins on a cartoon plane. Not a mention of USA.

Hate America? Are you serious? I was wishing people Happy Thanksgiving and I haven't the slightest notion what Thanksgiving is!!

(Correct me if im wrong)

The French got their reputation for running when 3 battalions (two French, one American) advanced into the Argonne Forest in early October 1918. The communications were cut between the 3 groups, and the Americans dug in, the french withdrew.

Most of you know this story as "The Lost Battalion"
