True, they sound funny at times. If we didn't have them what would become of this game of ours? Who will fill the ranks? What if no one new showed up because they are cussed out on channel or made to feel unwelcome? Who are you going to shoot down then?

If the sound annoys you that much, use your squelch.

I think we should use the Doolittle raiders tradition as an example of what we should do in AH. Take all the old time flight simmers from say before 2000 and not let anyone else in and kick everyone else out. We will shoot each other down until there is only one of us left alive. The last person alive will salute all who have passed and that will be that for the flight simming world. What do ya'z think ? <G>

There was this guy with the game ID of  "SARGE" a year or two ago and he squeaked something awesome, like his voice was changing right before our ears.  One guy was pestering him about it and he kept saying "I'm not SquEEEking!!!"  Every time he said that, he got squeakier and the whole base was rolling.  I felt bad about it, but he just wouldn't stop talking - "Look out guys, a B-24!!!".  :rofl

Not sure where he is from did not get to hear him. It was about 1 or 2 in the morning EST USA though?

That's like 7 am in England, so he might've been an English kid, but probably an American kid from west coast.
