And they're called "sleep myoclonus" episodes.

i have no idea what a "sleep myoclonus" episode is but it was pretty funny when i woke up and realized that i wasnt falling until i got out of bed. then after i set foot out of bed im terrified of the result, do i fall or am i touching the floor?  :rofl but its good to see that its not just me having these spaz-outs  :salute

Calvin and Hobbes was the greatest  :lol

Sim, can Sleep myoclonus be in conjunction with RLS?

yep ive had this happen to me many times. its not really a dream, more like a semi-conscience picture in your mind. you still feel like you're in bed, yet you see only the thought. you trip/fall, and WHAM. you end up in your bed and for a split second, it feels like you're falling.

you're not crazy :lol

I have those pretty often, usually shortly after falling asleep.  They are usually small things like tripping or slipping in a dream and as I try to regain my balance, I wake up sharply, only to make my girlfriend look at me weird.  I haven't had a good falling dream in a while.

Does anyone have reoccurring dreams? When I was a kid I often had one about wolves coming to get me.

What about a lucid dream?  Those are crazy.

Ever since I quit smoking 8 months ago I have recurring dreams about lighting up.  Happens a couple times a month.  Sometimes I'll wake up dissapointed in myself for cracking, only to realize I was dreaming.

When I was a kid on two different occasions I had episodes of the worst type of recurring dreams, night terrors.  Never want to go through that again and I'm sure the neighbors agree.

Had one when i was little.  Dreaming about my home being attack and then woke up from a loud thunderstorm.  I jumped right out of bed and ran like hell from the living room to the kitchen.  Took me a few minutes to gather my self.

This has happened to me even more since I've moved to college.

As of reoccurring dreams, I used to have these odd dreams of me walking down an endless hallway, road, path, or something that was lined with anyhthing from trees to soldiers.  But the creepy part about the dreams that really scared me was a growing noise that kept getting louder, and louder, and louder.  It was a noise similar to that found in the movie Paranormal Activity when the camera is recording and it is dead silent (except for the noise of the camera recording I guess...whatever sound that is is what I heard).
