My score for 2001 went up 1000 points when I went from ME to XP Home and frame rates went from 75 to 85 in AH at 1280x1024/32 and 85 refresh rate.

GeForce 4 shows large improvement over the GeForce3 Ti200 I was using.  GeForce3 shows only and avg. of 8 FPS more then the GeForce2GTS Pro with 64 ram I was using.  GeForce4 allows me to use software controled FSAA unstead of leaving it off.
Using 1280X1024 32 bit with verticle sync on and software control of antialiasing, using Shift F1 rendering in the game.  Don't waste the money on the GF3, wait until the GeForce4 comes down in price. (save your milk money)

I think anything more than about 5000 is probably overkill for AH.  But there are some newer games that can utilize that horsepower.  :)
