We don't have night, why would you need lights?

So you want to dogfight relying on radar, that in reality most planes did not have?

we do have night, just not in the MA. i have been in plenty of night events. I think the idea of landing lights is awesome for the AvA it would be so great with no icons and for night fights, it would be sick. +1000000

So you want to turn on a light so the enemy can find you?

Good point.

Also how many WWII actually had lights?

They had landing lights... for landing, in friendly territory.  Some had formation lights so they actually could find each other to form up at night.  It's not like you would fly with them on all the time.

Turn off auto-trim and auto-pilot and I think you have no interior lights.

Landing light, sure. But seems to me that he is asking for nav lights, strobes, and the beacon which most aircraft did not have.

we don't need it in dog fights, you can still see just not as well (oh and don't forget about icons they will help). we'll just need radar for navigating the map. +1000 to night time in MA, +500 to lights for night ops.

there were plenty of night (and early morning) operations in the war, it would be so cool to see it in the game. :x
Planes I'm good in the Bf-109 G14, the B-25C, and the B-17G not many but its nice for me to know :P

from what I understand ( But what do I know)  Landing lights are big spotlight type things, Such as the ones in the hurri's wings, the green and red lights on the wingtips are nav lights are they not?

Landing lights are pretty much headlights that are pointed down to see the runway, Nav lights are the red and green ones on the wing tips, strobes are thous really bright white flashing lights on the wingtips, and a beacon is a single flashing red light on top (sometimes bottom as well) of the aircraft.

Wing tip/ Landing lights
For night opps, and no icon events.

Your lights will be off either way because it will make your aircraft easy to spot.
We had night before in MA, it did not work out.
