« on: December 10, 2010, 04:56:55 PM »
know how some find these recordings from liveatc.net? well......how the hell do you record them while listening?

i ask only as i'm listening right now, and i could almost SWEAR i heard the tower clear someone to land on taxiway alpha.......i know i had to be hearing things, but that's what i thought i heard.

If it was a helicopter then it's quite possible that they let him land on a taxiway.

+1, about 10 years ago when I went on a couple flyalongs, there was a taxiway that ran infront of the LACFD helicopter hangar at Van Nuys that had individual pads sectioned off on it for various individual helicopters, this taxiway was the location that they radioed the tower that they were TO or landing from/to at the airport.
