81st Gloucestershire Squadron
« on: December 11, 2010, 02:18:24 PM »
My old Stuka squad was partially successful, and though I dive bomb occasionally, find no need in it because most people don't dive bomb. Also the Ack-ack upgrade makes it even harder, so I decided to continue experimenting.

TA57x proudly presents....

TA's 81st RAF GLOUCESTERSHIRE SQUADRON!

We fly:

*Spitfire Series
*Hurricane Series
*Lancaster (Bomber group)
*Seafire

We do not fly tempest's and typhoons and frown upon such acts!

We have around a dozen members, many being new players, and were constantly practicing with them to get better. I myself have 200 kills in DA and 230 deaths, and I fly mouse.

Many of us fly mouse and still have descent kills. We know we can be much better, but were waiting for when the time is right.

Gah, but the stuka squad was so unique! And now your flying as Tommies!  good luck, and ps,  why not just make it straight raf birds? That way you could also fly typh, temp, brewster, p51, etc....

I dunno, but the problem is people laughed at us when we tried recruiting stuka pilots.

TA's 81st RAF GLOUCESTERSHIRE SQUADRON!

why not pick a real WWII RAF squadron? theres plenty to chose from ...

or maybe 81 Squadron? interesting history, based all over the place in WWII from Russia to N.Africa, although never in Gloucestershire afaik.

The name was chosen at random, and we have members who live in Gloucestershire, so thus we named it that.

We are currently experimenting with desert skins and might "redeploy" the squad to the African front, thus changing skins. :D

You will be hunted by Luft squads  :devil. That is the least of your problems however. I think Junky will be pissed that you stole his avatar.

Just sayin.

to make it historically cool it should be 81 Squadron, not 81st Squadron. the RAF use cardinal numbers (1, 2, 3, 4 etc), the USAAF use ordinal numbers (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc).   :uhoh

sounds like you checked out 81sqn history, they did get about didnt they  :airplane:
