Headaches

I've found that, after about an hour or so of flying / driving, I start to get a headache and if I push it too far it becomes blinding.  Ya old eyes and all of that but does anybody else get this?

I can stare at this board all day and it doesn't bother me a bit but, when I get home, and play about an hour and a half is my limit.

Been having same issue no joke lol, I just go chill for 1 hour, drink a cold glass of Arnold Palmer and take an advill normally does the trick

Had more or less the same problem. I went to the eye doctor who said that 40 y.o. it was time for glasses. You might want to make an appointment.

Complete opposite for me, I can fly all day but when I try reading the BBS for an hour...

you'd think the money I spent for lasic seven years back would have alleviated the 'need glasses at 46' bit   But I think yall are right

you could also try using anti-glare sunglasses while playing. you know the yellow tinted ones? those remove certaian levels of infrared light without reducing your vision or increasing dark shadows.

Just one question , you said when you get home, I assume your at ( ahhhmm... work ) when you read this board but play when at home, is there a difference in monitors from work and home? , refresh rate settings,resolution.... etc...etc...

How close is your screen?  Try pushing it back a bit, it will help to relax your eyes.  That may not be the problem but it's worth a shot.

try changing your monitors refresh rate. i've read/heard that this can cause you problems sometimes.

a little of both actually. 

a couple of 20" flat panels at work here It's a 42" flat panel wide screen as my main and a 28" flat panel as a secondary

what do you mean main and secondary? you fly on two monitors?

Cap1  i have 3 23 inch Samsung syncmasters in HD output, mostly used for Home designing,  i do see where aceshigh can support 3 monitors, that would be nice but i dont have the desk space to do it

no I fly on the big one and use the second one for multiple open windows

Edit:  I just had an epiphany.  I'm working on a new nose art for myself today and every 15 minutes or so I take a break, go get a drink, or just stretch a bit. Same thing at work.  It's a habit to take short breaks, stretch, look around, etc..

When I play I sit fixated in roughly the same position staring at the screen for long periods of time.  I can't believe I haven't thought of that before.

I do get headaches if I play too long never have any blinding though. The most annoying thing is my neck though it kinda gets stiff and hurts if I sit around not moving it.
