New system of crashing
« on: December 12, 2010, 06:46:41 AM »
its kinda boring of those systems in aces high....

if you crash you see nothing and then it says: ''you have crashed''

kinda be funny if you see how your plane is wrecked... like in a ww1 game i can't remember the name...

My favourite Planes: Spitfire MK XIV, BF109, B24, B17
I play also:
Black ops
MW2
IL2 Sturmovik Birds of Prey

the Almighty has spoken!

in all seriousness, in the interest of realism (which is the sole purpose of all flight sims), im pretty sure pilots who crashed in WW2 didnt go into the 3rd person to see their wrecked craft.

and landing is a much better option, IMO :D

Be honest HiTech.... Add the fact that there would be 25 FPS whines per day that nobody needs to read!

Not to mention 10 whines on how it takes an extra 3 seconds to "up" again!  :aok

crash into another airplane, then you can see several seconds of falling to the floor.  unless of course you are the lucky one who didnt get damage.

semp
you dont want me to ho, dont point your plane at me.

In relation to this topic, I wouldn't mind seeing destroyed aircraft smoking on the ground after a crash for a little while after the crash. Would give you a feel for just how intense a furball is when you see 20-30 smoking heaps of wreckage scattered below the fight. Of course, the issue will be a lose of frame rates for people with crappy computers (like mine  :( )

Add smoke and spiral to the plane as it goes down

I have wasted a few rounds on an aircraft that was already downed but it's carcass rolled in front of me before I could see there was no icon beneath it.   A collapsed v shaped wing and spiral roll to the deck smoking or not, would not only ease my trigger finger, but also might forget it's a cartoon and  :pray the poor bugger gets out in time.  ;)

If it could be treated as other effects are that can be turned on or off by the player, we might avoid some performance issues with crappy cpu's like Latrobe and mine.
