A bit if footage from the Red Bull Air Race this past year at Windsor, Ontario. Wonder how long it took for his heart to return to a normal pulse rate?

I know a guy who did a lot of this on purpose. I actually flew with him some 10 times or more this summer in that very aircraft.
He would basically drive on the water. You plunge through near the stall with nose down, which is safer than a wheel-uð kanding on water (one wing before the other will break your spine).
The method originated from WW2 USN I heard.
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

Oh, look at the crash video. When the doctor is being interviewved, pay attention to the skeletons in the background :D
