Putting aside all the typical "all the same" hyperbole and myth's my honest opinion is the Rooks seem better at the above mentioned skills/tasks.

one thing i find hilarious about the bishops

they will have 20 and 30 plane high altitude missions which take players out of the game for hours while they lose bases.  yesterday they lost 8 bases.  while they accomplished to bomb the rook factories.  i think all buffs made it back, some landed as few as 1200 points for a 2 hour flight.  they slap each other on the back about the great mission they just accomplished.

as for bombing hq, it takes about 5 min to resupply it from nearest base.

As opposed to what? :huh That was the 91st BG and 20th FG you observed having some change-of-pace fun. Would you rather promote us into doing exclusive (furball-killing) hangar banging instead? I guarantee your current opinion would be far overshadowed be those that value a good low knockdown-dragout fight.

Basically it was a run I put together since we've got the upcoming scenario fresh on our minds & we wanted to do something on that line in the main & get out of the drudgery. The 20th <<S>> was expert as usual in escorting us and knocking Rooks out of the stratosphere. :)

Base taking is fine & dandy, and losing consecutive bases gets wearing. I don't treat it like real money. It's a game, and my lowly opinion was the map was very stale.

+ 1.  I saw people greifing the 91st the other day about this on 200. People thinking that missions need to have a tactical value in order to be fun. I hope ThundrEgg and the 91st will keep doing what hes doing and wish EVERYONE will follow and see more of it. :salute

:) I just saw this as I was responding. Thank you, Tralf! You are correct. We had a damn good time.

I wish more people would do these kind of missions.  How can you be a world war II airplane junkie and not appreciate an escorted bombing raid deep behind enemy lines, or the chance to intercept it?

Absolutely, they are fun to fly as well as fight.  They only suk when you find them noe nothing about that can be appreciated.

It always surprised how few players will pork ords and troops. They will lose base after base because ords are up at the attacking air field. No matter how many times I type go kill ords. It seams to me I am one of the very few who will take down ords. I pretty much saved A56 the other day just by porking the ords at the attacking field. Even out numbers as we were we held A56.

This is a simple tactic that works and yes they can resupply the base, but I guarantee the other side will get tired of driving M-3s with supplies before I do bombing them back down. Plus if they are driving M-3s with supplies all day, They ain't attacking you.

All of my spies say this very thing!!!   :aok

When you switch sides a lot, you will learn on every country channel that "we" suck, that "we" do not pork, and that "they" show us what organization really means while "we" are just furballing.

you are correct!

i spent my first 2 years in this game porking ords and troops. I've done my share!

plus, on the flipside, you take out ords, they quit bringing bombers. I like shooting down bombers.

We fly missions to hit strats because it's what the big birds did. I know the impact can not be that big, but it really does not matter. If we need supplies or GV's or something, the 444th will help out, but bombing is the main deal for us whether it's winning the map or whatever.
