I repeat DO NOT download the new Detonator drivers. They suck. They say they are improved but it will screw your system. Now when i try to minimize, alt-tab, AH is works but when i open it again everythign is screwed, the ground is one of a thousand different colors, somethimes its a wireframe. Same with the airplane. Sometime the airplane is invisible Objects are all weird, its just diddlyed and I cant stand it.

Hobodog, go into AH video settings and check "disable paletized textures".  Also make sure your desktop and Ah run at the same resolution AND (if possible) refresh rate.

Yes you are right, the 23.11 drivers are terrible.  (They mess up some DSL modems too, so be careful.)

I just rolled back drivers it was killing everything. Plus frames were down to 84 in AH. I know arent i spoiled. My monitors refresh rate is 100. The old drivers never did thsi.
