The fuel tanks are in the wings though, shooting the fuselage isn't the best way to kill a G4M.
its not just tanks in the wings karnak, the wings are tanks themselves... They put a fuel bladder AROUND the fuel tanks in the wings for the required long distance 2 engine bomber the Japanese navy wanted. a tracer round to the wing and the G4M is dead no matter what. Though i believe a tater to the fuselage should damage it more than that?
(Its kinda funny that if Mitsubishi got to build their 4 engined Betty like they wanted to, it would have had self sealing tanks, armor, and 20mm cannons for all defensive armaments

) Those darn Imperial Japanese commanders! What were they thinking?!
(also, i love this one... The Betty's engine out did a B17G's engine by (150-200?) HP each)
