To this day I wonder what would have happened if Truman would have left MacArthur in command.  I cant help but think it would have been a better outcome for the entire Korean peninsula.  I just don't know....

I too often wonder what would have happened. Would him going in to China and stopping the communist there prevent the spread to Vietnam or would it, like ack-ack put it, spiral out of control into WW3. We will never know.

It most like would have resulted in a general war between the Chinese/Soviet Union and UN forces, which would have immediately spiraled out of control into World War III and possible atomic weapon exchanges between the US and Soviet Union.

I believe MacArthur actually wanted to use nukes along the border between China and North Korea, where the Chicoms were concentrating their forces.

Will have to check, relying on memory here.

If done in the manner of the WWII and WWI arenas, what would stop it from simply being almost all F-86Es, or if those were perked, almost all MiG-15s?  It seems to me that done in the fashion where any unit can be picked by any side it would pretty much be a United States military hardware fratricide.

If done in a UN vs Communist forces style, it seems to me that it would start as 400 UN players against 10-50 Communist players and devolve into 10 UN players searching in vain for the 0-1 Communist player.

None of that sounds like good gameplay to me.

Well, I guess the first question I have is "Strat enabled?"
Or is it going to be a 2 field, one plane, pointless moshpit like...you know.

As Ack-Ack has pointed out before, until the introduction of the F-86E, the MiG-15 was equal if not superior.

IIRC there were more MiGs flying in the AW Korea Arena than Sabers.

Like others said, I think F-86E variant should be perked.

Also, what's the difference between MiG-15 and MiG-15 bis?  Should bis be perked?

-1 I'd rather they spend the time improving the WW2 game.  If they want to add more jets, the He-162, Meteor, and P-80a are always available.

+1....I can only stand dying regularly in one arena.

Map is already here, jet community is well established.

I'm all for this. Then shove the 262s and 163s into it and kick 'em the hell out of the prop plane arena. :) :devil
