If you need the old FinRus for AH1 I have a copy of version 17 on cd. It was for evaluation purposes only, so if that's what you need, one of us must ask Kanttori for permission.

A modern Carelia map is under construction.

At his home, AFAIK. Haven't seen him flying lately, but met him a few weeks ago. PM him, if in need. He's busy with the new map and keeps posting screenshots on our squad board.

I was going to design an event around that map, but since there is no guarantee it ill be back I am having second thoughts  :headscratch:

The reason these maps were pulled was because they were older maps. They were displayed in a way that they showed up okay in the modern terrain system, but underneath (hidden) there was funky interactions with the code taking place.

HTC found that this was why there was so much server instability in the SEA and events using these older terrains. it was the terrain itself. So they binned the old terrains. If/when they ever get re-made with the new terrain system they'll work just fine.

Until then, don't go designing anything off of those old maps. I doubt they're still available on the SEA servers anymore.
