Check out this Christmas Present!
« on: December 25, 2001, 11:11:00 PM »
The mother-in-law gave me a "laptop" computer for Christmas.  You can see the stats for it here.

Strengths:
  • Forget "Titanium" or "Gold" video displays... this one has some kind of "chrome"
  • Dual Drives
  • Integrated Modem
  • Easy Carrying handle
Weaknesses:
  • Legs go numb after 3 minutes on lap
  • Baud rate of modem does not need a comma
  • Can't figure out how to get CD in the drive
  • Having problems getting FDisk to recognize the hard drive

OOH Kaypro!
When I was in school we had one of those there. Finnish nickname was pilkki-palli (Fishing stool made of Styrofoam).

Kaypro's a name which takes me *way* back. Yes, I actually used one. 1985/86 it was, when I was working for Micro Business Systems.
