« on: December 18, 2010, 12:58:29 AM »

14 July to 15 August 1945. The Royal Navy Carriers HMS Indefatigable HMS Implacable and HMS Formidable began flight operations off the coast of Japan. Covering the flank of the USN's TF-37 their job was to suppress Japanese aerial offensive operations against themselves and the USN Fleet. Fleet Air Arm strikes against Imperial Japanese Naval Air Bases on the Japanese Island of Kyushu began on 15 July. Royal Navy and Imperial Navy aircraft traded blows for nearly a month over Japan and just off her coast. As the British Ramrod mission tried to destroy the threats posed by Japanese air fields with ramrod missions. While the Japanese responded in kind with bombing and Kamikaze mission against the British Fleet. The battle concluded on the 15th of August 1945 when final aerial combat was joined by two of the most iconic aircraft of WWII. The Seafire a navalized version of the famous Supermarine Spitfire and the legendary Mitsubishi A6M Zero squared of for what is believed to be the final dogfight of WWII. Which occurred as A6M5 Zero fighters of the 252nd and 303nd Kokutais attempted to intercept a flight of TBM Avengers being escorted by Seafires from 884 and 897 Naval Air Squadrons.

Soda the setup will work on the Okinawa map, just disbale any fleets for the Axis. Be sure and keep only one base N1K2 and one CV F6F, I designed  the setup to represent the Seafire/Zeke matchup if you make N1K2s overly available that's all we'll see.
