Bash,
1) Download the latest bios. For our board it is the SS bios. It is a self-executable file.
2) Download the awdflash.exe file. If you can't find it I can send it to you. It should be available on the ABIT website.
3) Format a floppy and choose "copy system files " from the format type menu. When done you should have a floppy with Command.com, IO.SYS, and MSDOS.sys files on it.
4) Copy the AWDFLASH.exe to the floppy.
5) Click the executable SS bios file to extract it and place it on the floppy also. Now you have the 3 system files from the format, the AWDFLASH.exe and BH6_ss.bin file.
This is your bios flash disk. Remove it and "Write protect" it so you can't write to disk.
Reboot your computer and enter bios. Write down the settings you currently have so you can reset them after the flash if you need to.
****Make sure "boot floppy first" is selected.****
Now re-boot with the flash disk in the drive and at the a:> prompt type your command line.
It must be exactly as ABIT says.....all spaces, dashes etc.
A:\>awdflash bh6_ss.bin /cc /cd /cp /py /sn /cks /r_
Follow any on-screen instructions.
*IMPORTANT*
This post is for information only. I take no responsibility for errors incurred while attempting to flash the bios.
