Loss of VOX

Just squad vox.  I start out ok, and then I lose squad vox mic only.  I can still hear everyone and still have range channel operational.  I try to reset and no go.  The only way to reset is completely log off and log back in.  Even then it's wash, rinse, repeat........vox will last for a few and then same thing happens.

The prob has been around for a while so I don't think it has anything to do with new version.  I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

I could be the computer struggling for resources. I had this problem until I added more RAM memory. The game is very CPU intensive and if the program needs to search the harddrive to come up with the files needed when you make a VOX transmission the delay causes you to disco. At least that's what was going on with me. I have an older machine and needed more memory in order for the program to work properly.

No disco's involved.  Only thing that goes down is squad channel transmission.

Yup, sorry, that's what I meant. Loss of VOX.

For me sometimes I'd lose my connection too. Sometimes just warp and just lose VOX but yeah, it was due to my machine not being able to keep up with this new game engine.

What's your hardware like?

Top of the line Bro.  I'm starting to wonder if I don't have a corrupt file and need to reload HTC.  I'll try to figure out how to get puter info and show.

Your pagefile is huge and how come windows is on the H drive?  Where is AH installed?

It looks like he installed on top of another OS and has a dual boot going.

I saw a few other problems too. I dont think you are in native mode for your monitor? You have plug and play drivers loaded so you want to check and see if you can find drivers for your monitor.

Probably what is causing the problem is a conflict between the HD Audio controllers on the video card and your Sound Blaster X-Fi. Its pretty easy to fix though. Just go into Control Panel and under Sound Video and Game Controllers you will see High Definition Audio Controller listed (there may be more than one) just right click and choose disable. They may also be listed under System Devices. If you ever use the HDMI line from your video card to the monitor you may need them but then you wont want the X-Fi.

TD, HTC is installed in H:  H: Drive instead of C: drive, that's the way it came from Dell when I ordered it.

Located under System Devices.  Found absolutely nothing regarding "High Definition Audio Controller".  But then that really doesn't say much as I definitely ride the "Short Bus" where it concerns computers (lol).

Will keep checking.

The odd part is it ONLY disables channel 5 (squad vox)

Is it possible that the mapping to the "t" or the button on the stick is becoming unmapped after a few min of playing?

Lets try again (its been awhile since I did it with XP).

Hit the Start button and then click on Control Panel. Scroll down to System and double click it.



The System Properties panel will open. On the Hardware tab click the Device Manager button.



Scroll down and expand the Sound video and game controllers item. In XP the items will be called "NVIDIA High Definition Audio" and you want to right click and choose disable for each one of them you see.



Check System devices just in case for the same thing.
