question for epox 8kha+gurus

I got an 8kha+ put the comp together fired it up and checks everything and then hangs on floppy drive failure<40>.
tried another floppy same problem.red stripe on cable lines up to pin 1 on floppy and MB.I tried everything I could think of to get this thing to work.I'm about to toejamcan it and go with asus.I've never encountered a problem like this. any help is appreciated  :D

Is the light on the floppy drive on solid all the time?  If it is, the cable is on backwards.  If it isn't, you've got either a bad cable, bad floppy, or (unlikely) a bad motherboard.

Thanks for the info fellas  :D
I installed a different cable turned it around backwards and it recognized the floppy drive lol.go figure.  :cool:
