Tuesday January 25th, 2011 8:00pm UK/3:00pm Eastern in SEA II - This Day in WWII hosted by Brooke.
Join us to commemorate the Battle of the Bulge, which ended January 25, 1945.
 
In December, 1944, the Germans launched a surprise offensive with half a million men, 1800 tanks, and 1900 artillery guns through the Ardennes region of Belgium, France, and Luxembourg.
 
The German forces punched through the allied lines and got approximately half way to Brussels before finally being pushed back.  This is where the 101st Airborn made its stand at Bastogne, where Patton's 3rd US Army charged into bitterly cold winter battle, and where elite Panzer Armies under Generalfeldmarschall Gerd von Rundstedt made one of their last big pushes.

For America, it was the largest battle of WWII. For Germany, it was a waning hope for offensive operations in the west.
All players are welcome, and no preparation is needed. TDIWWII events have the theme of the battle, but they are not realistic recreations and do not require familiarity with any rules prior to joining us for the fun. More info can be found Here . This event runs again at 11:30pm Eastern

Tuesday January 25th, 2011 10:00pm Eastern in SEA I - Aces High eXtreme Air Racing League - Season 21 Finale. Scheduled host(s) is the CM's who have not qualified for this race, or a combination of CM's who have qualified but will each forego 1 heat to host. Season Finale races are closed events, flown only by AHXARL Pilots who have qualified in some manor for their spot on the race roster. All are invited to watch the highest ranking pilots of the season go toe to toe for bragging rights, and a qualifying spot for the 68KO Cup Championship Race later this year.
Back in 1945, the US 37th Division, US 14th Corps (Griswold), occupies a large part of the Clark Field air base in the Philippines.

Wednesday  January 26th, 2011 10:00pm Eastern in SEAII - Retaliation
This week’s snapshot is”Retaliation" hosted by 68Hawk.  As the tide turns on the Eastern Front, Red Air Force units go on the offensive, sending IL-2 attack aircraft and American made P-39s to take the fight back to their hated enemy.  The Germans, far from broken, launch 109G-6 and 190A-5 fighters to defend their air bases.  It seems the savagery of this conflict has yet to be satiated.
