But if the building was vacant - why fight the fire from the inside?
Is a human life worth any empty building let alone something that sounds like it should have been torn down?


Eagler unfortunately it is a LEGAL thing, if the CFD did absolutely nothing except sit outside they technically can be held liable for the building. Also when responding to the fire you don't know if the homeless had set up living quarters in there. Regardless of it being empty they still must preform a search of the building. And yes it was a waste, but they are doing a job I personally miss doing.

They also have to protect the surrounding homes and property here ya go to see what they were looking at.
