Where to buy TM HOTAS Cougar?
« on: December 29, 2001, 08:41:00 AM »
I've seen release dates anywhere from late-November to late March 2002.   Chips&Bits claims to have it 1/2/02, for $249, while Buysim.com says it was available mid-December 01 for $270.

I have a sneaking suspicion its really not out yet, and these E-tailers will simply take your money and email you a BACKORDERED notice.

Where are you guys ordering yours from?

My other option is Saitek X45 or TM Afterburner Throttle/joystick.  I'm not crazy about the styling of either, and they absolutely MUST work in conjunction with my TM Elite rudder pedals.  I'm sure the Cougar will support them, but not sure about the Saitek or the Afterburner.

I preorderd at Chips and Bits . No they don't take your money till they ship the product . At least they havn't me .

I read on the thrustmaster forum that's it looking at least till March now .

X36 will work with your rudders if you use Bob Church's driver . At least with Win 98 and Me .

Flew in Falcon4.0 this morning with this combo .

 Don't own a x45 so can't say for sure .

I always go with Flight Sim Central (www.fscentral.com).  The price for the Cougar is a bit higher than Chips & Bits, but they've got great customer service and it's owned/operated by a flight sim enthusiast.   :)
