Why aren't they a major faction? Supposedly in D.C. they were huge and then at their home state... They're nothing to spit on?  :huh

NOOOOOOOO!!!!!! I wanted so badly to pick up where I left off in Fo3, as a member of the Brotherhood of Steel! Oh well, I'll just buy the expansion for Fo3 and realize my dreams in that way. "The Pitt," anyone? :rofl

New Vegas is going to take some getting used to, that is for sure.  So far it hasn't gotten even close to the level of awesomeness that Fo3 possesses. Can anyone please tell me the game picks up soon and gets better?!  :cry

As you go on and do some quests for the NCR you will start to learn the back story of what happened to the BoS and the Enclave after the battles for HELIOS and the First Battle of Hoover Dam.

As for food, unless you're playing in hardcore mode, food or drink for that matter isn't needed at all.  Just keep yourself well stocked with stimpaks and other buffs and that will be all that you need.  Learn though on how to make your own ammo, it's not as vital in non-hardcore mode but it does make things a lot easier being able to craft your own ammo no matter what setting you're playing the game on.  Also, tan the hides of any animals or beasts you kill.  Gecko hides fetch some nice caps and helpful early on in the game to build up some money.

I'm on my 3rd playthrough, using Cassie and Rex as my companions this time and going the "Wildcard" route and take over New Vegas for myself.  I've already got some good ideas for my 4th playthrough.  Going to go the Caeser Legion route and try and kill every non-Legion NPC that I run into.

If the powder gangers hate you AND the NCR, start over, you're boned.

Powder Gangs is the easiest tribe/mob to kill in the game, they're starter cannon fodder for you to level up on.  The NCR Correction Facility was my first stop after Goodsprings and I wiped them out easily.  Just use VAT to target the guys with dynamite and shoot it in their hands, killing them and killing/injuring anyone close.  Also, wear Powder Ganger armor and it will let you get in close before you kill them.

NCR, while tougher than the Powder Gangers (depending which NCR you run into...basic soldiers are easy and will tend to flee when their health hits 24%...The red beret guys and Rangers are the toughest of the NCR).  If you do the HELIOS One quest, do the quest branch where you restore the weapon and use it on the NCR for some great fun early on but be warned, you'll get infamy status that you can't recover from. There is also a kid in one of the New Vegas slums that has a toy gun, get it from him and that's the targeting gun for the satellite weapon you restored during the Helion One quest.  Great fun to randomly use it on large concentrations of NCR troops.

I was mostly referring to the fact that if bad guys AND good guys hate him simultaneously at a low level, he's in trouble.

Where do I find Veronica? I've already done everything I could for the BoS, they're beast and I just wanted to help them out since they kicked arse in the last game. But yeah, where is she?

I'm trying to decide which faction to go with. Should I go with Mr. House (Already beefed up ALL securitrons AND killed Caesar [Kaiser?]). Should I go with the NCR? (Got Boone and many NCR friends, plus all the perks to having the NCR with you).

Another note, who do I find in order to learn power armor? Nobody at Hidden Valley could teach me. Can Veronica?

Is it bad that every other few hours of gameplay, I find myself in either the Gomorrah, The Tops, or the Wrangler? I can't help but gamble (save, load, save, load, save, load ;) ). It's not like the money means anything, I can stop anytime I want to.   :lol

1. veronica is at hill 188, shes the woman in robes and a hood.

2. thats personal preference. you can also take control of vegas yourself by killing mr.house (part of the wildcard missions)

3. couple of ways to learn how to wear it. you can get the follower arcade gannon(former enclave personel)to teach you, if you do veronicas missions you can join the BOS and they will teach you. OR you can use the NCR power armor, its weak but doesnt require power armor training to wear.

4. depends, do you have high or low luck? luck plays a big factor in how well you do gambling. if you have low luck you'll waist more money than you earn.

The last one wasn't really a question. :lol

So with Veronica, I can become a member of the BoS? Awesome.

There are certain glitches which may move it. It's THERE... somewhere in the canyon... you just need to find it.

What we need is Dogmeat again, so I can find all my guns and ammo. I searched for 10 minutes before finally finding the laser.

no there is a glitch where the gun can sink into the rock and you'd never be able to get it  :(

rex gives you a perk that when you ADS, any container that has items in it will highlight itself in green, weapons in red.

Yes, well, if a laser pistol is sitting on the ground, how is that perk going to help? It isn't in anything.

you could see it still, i should of better worded that.

the perk highlights any item in green
weapons in red.

if they are in a container it will label that container w.e  color the thing inside it.

the lazer pistol should be sittin on the rock the dead wastelander is leaning against.

hes a dead "wastelander" dont get him mixed up with the prospectors lieing around
