Eagles Game
« on: December 26, 2010, 11:01:59 AM »
NFL will probably postpone the game. Tell's you how bad it's going to get. Noon and snow barely starting in Philly area now.                                                                                                         Game at 8 pm Eastern. Supposed to be blizzard conditions. Up to 2 feet of snow.                                                                                                                                                               Snow rate 2-4 inches an hour by this afternoon/evening.
I hope they don't. It's always a great game played in snow.
They probably more worried about the Eagles fans, and hitting Ref's with snowballs.
Remember when they ice-balled the Ref? Knocked him cold.
They ice-balled santa too.

Fits the Vikings season perfectly. Sometimes when it rains. it pours...literally.

The Norse gods are obviously not pleased.
Playing this game i this weather would have been the only chance the Vikes had of winning against the Eagles as with the predicted 40 MPH winds would have reduced the game to running game Vs running game. to which I'd have given the vikes the edge.

Soon as you add passing into the mix. With rookie QB Web getting the start. The edge goes decidedly in the Eagles favor.

This is very bad news for the Gi-Aints fans and their over rated team.

Plow is on the truck, did that at 12am last night. Got home from a family get together and just decided to check the weather for today. I was floored to see this storm coming. All the forcasters said it would be farther east and or off shore. Epic Fail there. Said it would start around 7am here, another Fail, its 12:30 and not a flake yet ( sorry im a bit bitter, could have slept in an put the plow on this morning   :furious )

Its all good, i get to play in the snow right?  Cant be all bad. Wife has a habit of cooking real good stuff all day long when it snows....so when im done plowing my property, I can sit, have a couple beers and eat some really good chow!! Saw her cutting up some taters for homemade clam chowder...woo hoo!

Were lucky, only a foot "predicted" here. Good luck on the other side of the river Oz  :aok

Last time the weather men here in Texas "predicted" snow here they predicted a 'light dusting'....   We wound up having an all day blizzard and 14'' of snow by the time it stopped that night  :lol

That was Christmas Eve 2009 lol

Weathermen hardly ever get it right.

i just got home from my uncles(he's in sicklerville). i'm in lindenwold. got all the way up to 30 mph at one or two points. there was a salt crew blocking both lanes on the ac expressway, keeping traffic at about 15mph. they pulled off on the shoulder on rt 42, and i finally made some time.

visibility is less than 1/4 of a mile, most roads are un-touched right now, and most people out there are too friggin stupid to know how to handle this. i fear tomorrow is going to be a lost day at work, although i'm going in anyway.

it's nearly a foot deep in my front yard, and just over that at my uncles.

be careful.....it's not pretty out there.

Show this morning had a woman professional touting global warming. On the other side a meteorological scientist explaining the facts.

The so called GW professional, when asked questions, never provided facts. She just used terms like, "it's really interesting", and such.

It's going to be sunny today...... so wear your raincoat. :D
