Which direction is Tower?

  When I am in the tower, which direction am I facing in the default view.

  Sometimes when in the tower, I see a flight taking off, and I want to join them.  But, I am not sure which direction that are launching.

Bring up your map. The direction you are pointing will be reflected by the aircraft repesenting "you" on the field.
