« on: December 27, 2010, 02:46:32 PM »
R/C Warbirds that is. I've been flying since I was 10 and have always loved warbirds the most!

Heres my 2 newest:

I just got this for Christmas. 4 Channel micro P51.

Hangar 9 P51 still awaiting maiden flight.

Post yours!

i have serveral, first is a Cessna 172, 72" WS, 40 motor very fun plane to fly and get warmed up on

P51-D Miss America oversized Evo 120 pitts muffler 94"WS, retracts, this plane screams and you have to be on your game

KI-84 single cylinder 4 stroke Satio 95, retracts, 92" WS,  nice bird to fly, low rumble from the 4 stroke, much easier than my 51

My Winter project B25-J Mitchell 104" WS twin OS 65's, retractable gear, i went oversized on the engines ( recomended 52's) because there is so much extra room in the bombay area that im going to make it funtional with opening doors and Flour bombs that will release via servo, plently of room for extra servo's in the plane, as long as i keep my CG right i'll have no problems, planes parked on a kingsized bed

70" P40 with a .90 on it, would like to get a 4 stroke engine but I dont have any money.

Looks to be a tether to hold it in place during run-up.

couple of mine.......
my pony.....1.5 four stroke. was clocked at 150mph by previous owner

my super decathalon(i know it's not a warbird, but it's aerobatic...close enough)

this p-40 isn't mine. i'm working on one identical.....it will not have that crappy looking muffler though....

my world models t-34. the red one is another club members.....the yellow checkered one is mine. it's been modified with bigger rudder, elevator, and aielrons, along with a os .50sx, rather than the called for .40. it makes a good warmup plane...and it's fun to fly it backwards in heavy winds.  :devil

my p-38, with 2 90 four strokes. i haven't flown her yet.

my alpha models corsair. flies like a dream. working on an alpha models mustang, which will replace this one.

Growing up as a kid in Two Harbors, MN, I remember seeing Bud Nosen out test flying his 1/4 scale F4Us. This would have been early 80's maybe. Not sure who he used to sell his kits through (maybe A&A), but just curious if anyone had any of those?  :salute

We tried Paper Mache, they always seem to tear when taking off, we've only had a few tangle in the years we've been doing our craziness, the other plane just drags them both back to a somewhat safe landing, or land in a soft place (scrubbrush),or Alfalfa fields those are always soft, farmer might get alittle PO'd but they understand

Hey!  I'd at least have gotten the paint and the decals right!  What an awful mess with a D-Day striped, red star and bar ETO B25J that never existed!   I could crash it however :)
