the plane prgression is a bad idea.
why?
the system has been in place for 2 years. every one has the best planes going (spit 16 say).
newbie joins the game.
newbie not only has to contend with learning the game but having to fight his spit1 against a spit 16.
newbie gets pissed off after a few hours off having NO CHANCE to learning the game and leaves.
HTC loses $15.

games should be decided by skill not how long you have been playing or by how big your bank balance is.

are you talking about my "plane game" idea? because it would have its own arena, it wouldnt be set for the whole game. so the "newbie" wouldnt be forced into it. he could go to the TA or MA's first then come gamble on "plane game" if h wanted too.

Evan if its a separate arena the same applies. new guy to the arena is it a massive disadvantage so few people would bother.
also once you have the "spit 16" whats the chalange? you will get to the point where everyone will have the "spit 16".

dont include the spit 16 in the roster of 25 planes?

and it wouldnt be like where every1 can jump into the match whenever they want.

it would be 20 ppl max per match, they would take off. then the airfields would be locked until someone reaches there 25th plane. the new person would start out in an f4f and have to work his way up just like everyone else.

then when that match is over, the players would be rotated out and the next group waiting to go would have a run. etc etc.

the winner after each match gets all the perks.

this is what ive come up with so far for "plane game" it would have each branch of ww2 countries represented. whoever reaches the last plane on the list wins. if you are killed by a ram, then you are bumped down one plane slot.

AMERICAN lineup:
-----------------

(starting plane)sbd-5 dauntless>tbm avenger> f4f-4 wildcat->fm2->p40E>p39Q>f4u-1 corsair>p51B>p38G lightning>f4u-1a corsair>f6f hellcat>p47D-40 thunderbolt>b25c Mitchel (strafer option)> b26 marauder>p51D mustang>f4u-4 corsair. total plane count:16. must advance 16 planes to win the match.

GERMAN lineup:
---------------

(starting plane)ju-88>ju87D-3>bf109-E>bf109G-2>bf110G-2>fw190A-8>TA152H>fw190F-8>bf109K4>me-262>ar234B.total plane count:11. must advance 11 planes to win.

JAPANESE lineup:
----------------

(starting plane)D3a1 val>a6m2 zero>ki61>N1K-J>ki84>a6m5 zero>b5n2.

total plane count:7. must advance 7 planes to win.

this is just what i thought up late at night, i didnt do a british lineup because i dont have good knowledge of british planes.

also for you math geniouses out there, i'll let you figure out how perk betting and how much is earned up to you, because frankly: i suck at math  :uhoh.

like the idea? hate the idea? got tweaks to idea? all opinions are welcome. :aok

any type of setup that gives you better equipment will only benefit the better player.

sbd vs sbd = better player wins just
sbd vs tbm = better player wins easier
sbd vs f4u-1a = better player hardly tries
sbd vs f6f = sbd player has enough and leaves as he thinks "whats the point. im just going to get owned even worse "

even 2 players of equal skill will be the same once a better plane is "won"

I really like this idea. BUT, I REALLY like to fly the F4F, im not a horrible stick in it. What if we wanted to stay in it, and not move up? How about as we win against a higher level plane we level up ourselves and unlock a new plane that you can choose. Or maybe get a certain amount of exp...I seriously think this is a good idea and could draw in more 'video game' people.

the whole point is "let the best man win".

if a player was getting owned, then all he needs to do is practise, we've all been "owned" at this game at one point or another, but we havent rage quit (yet) have we? thats why the planes switch up,maybe that "noob" guy will have a better shot finding&shooting someone down in that sbd and the other persons in a plane they dont usually fly or know how too. (like the f6f or p51B)

no it wouldnt be related to gun game in any way then, and it wouldnt be fair to let a pilot stay in a plane he's good with the whole match, thats why i tryed to add planes in the list most ppl dont fly, the winner would be the person who has enough skills in all the numbered of planes to beat everyone else for the prize. i dont think i explained the "match" well.

it would basically be like the furball like in tha DA, everyone would launch tho from a different base. there would be unlimited fuel, and everyone goes hunting for a kill. once you got a kill in your spd, you'd immediatly spawn back on the ground in the next plane line up. then take-off, and repeat process. if you were killed by a ram, you'd spawn back on the runway in the plane previously on the list. first person to get a kill in the last plane wins.

also, i accept criticizm for my ideas, but not without the person having a good&valid reason to critisize.

and "its like blackops" is not a valid reason.
