yes sure, the person in the f4f has the chance to kill an f4u, but that doesnt mean he wins the game, it just means he advances, and you'll have 16 planes all on the map at once, you dont have to go after the f4f you see flying in the distance, you could go after the other f4u you see or any other plane of someone youve seen that has advanced like you have.
it wont be anything like "1v1 match, winner advance then waits on ground while next 1v1 ppl fight".
its everyone takes off at once and shoots down anyone they can. just like the furballn lake in the DA. so you dont have to go after that f4f if you dont think you can take it, you could go after another plane if you see one that you feel more comfortable about.
also, if that f4u was smart, he'd extend so he doesnt get caught in a turnfight, then just BnZ the f4f. or go in the vertical and stall it out.
